Blood Pattern analysis (BPA)
Advances in DNA profiling and the acceptance of DNA evidence leads to new questions - not whose blood is it but how did it get there? Cellmark's analysts can determine information from BPA which can siginificantly impact on a police case.
Analysis of blood patterns can deduce:
- The bloodstain's point of origin
- Type of "weapon" used which resulted in the bloodstain
- Was there a single blow or a multiple attack
- Speed and direction of blood flow
- Authenticity of a witness or suspect's statement
