- Summary of Job:
- The oversight of nominated customer accounts and management of the liaison between key contacts and Cellmark’s forensic operations to ensure that our customers receive the highest levels of support and service.
- Reporting Relationship:
- Reporting to Commercial director
- Principal Accountabilities:

- Frequent contact with the principal people within nominated police and other accounts by phone and face to face.
- Regular presentation of management information developed to meet the needs of each account.
- Seeking and recording feedback on the performance of Cellmark Forensic Services within each nominated account and proactively work with other departments to put in place actions to address any shortcomings.
- Communication, liaison and negotiation both internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the delivery of excellent service and the maintenance of good customer relationships.
- Maintenance and development of profitable business by the use of ethical sales methods.
- Maintenance of a customer relationship database, to ensure the appropriate coordination of all account activity.
- Provision of support to the Commercial Director and Business Development Managers in the preparation and presentation of pitches for new business and participation in the presentation of development initiatives to existing accounts.
- Planning and prioritising activities to meet customer and business priorities.
- Maintaining a high level of awareness of DNA and other relevant forensic techniques as well as forensic market place activity.
- Ad hoc involvement in other sales and business development activities as required.

- Job Requirements:

- Education:

- Degree or similar in biosciences, forensics or other scientific discipline.
- Competencies:
-
- Experience in face to face customer contact, preferably in a field role.
- Account management experience, managing a range of accounts from those requiring a highly technical input to those who require commercial support and management.
- Preferably experience in the forensic sector.
- Technical Skills:

- Car driver
- Understanding of our forensic processes and products
- IT literate (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and numerate
- Appreciation of the sales process and the ability to apply appropriate ethical sales skills
- Ability to manage data and personal administration
- Awareness of developments in forensic science.

- Staying away from home for significant periods may be required.
