Vacancy: Forensic Account Manager

- Summary of Job:
- Customer support and account management for Cellmark’s casework and DNA forensic services including new business development activities.
- Reporting Relationship:
- Reporting to Commercial director
- Principal Accountabilities:

- To deliver the highest levels of account management and customer service to existing forensic customers.
- To develop excellent working relationships with Cellmark’s customers based on trust and respect, and in line with Cellmark’s business ethos.
- To ensure regular (at least weekly) contact with the principal contacts within nominated accounts by phone and face to face to assist operational staff to resolve day to day issues, to understand future customer forecasts and requirements, and to communicate ongoing performance measures.
- To seek feedback on Cellmark’s performance within each nominated account and proactively coordinate activities to address any shortcomings.
- To develop excellent working relationships with scientific and operational staff throughout Cellmark’s forensics business and to build an understanding of the various processes and service delivery issues so that they can be best represented at customer meetings.
- To communicate, and assist with the collation of regular and ad-hoc management data and performance reports designed to meet the needs of each account.
- To lead, coordinate or assist with the implementation of new projects and initiatives for individual customers.
- To negotiate, implement and maintain an up-to-date operational protocol and decision structure for each customer account.
- To contribute to achieving sales targets by seeking to maximise sales opportunities for new and existing business.
- To work with other Account Managers and members of the commercial team to ensure a consistent, coordinated response to customer sales and support activities.
- To represent the company at forensic conferences and meetings.
- To identify opportunities for development of Cellmark’s business particularly in the UK forensic marketplace.
- To work with the Commercial Director in the preparation and presentation of tenders and business proposals as appropriate
- To keep up to date with legislation and policy decisions relating to forensic science, policing and the Criminal Justice process

- Education:

- Preferably a degree or similar in a scientific discipline.
- Experience:
-
- Account management experience - managing a range of accounts from those requiring a highly technical input to those which require commercial support and management.
- Significant experience of selling into the police/forensic sector, preferably with experiences of selling services and delivering growth
- Experience of dealing with public sector (preferably police) customers
- Experience of working with strategic partners
- Technical Skills:
