Our laboratories

Each of Cellmark's forensic laboratories has been designed and built to BS EN ISO 14644-1 Class 7 classification. Regular re-validation of the areas shows that each processing area achieves either class 6 or 5.

All air entering the laboratory is filtered thus removing any particulates that may carry DNA.

Each laboratory room is individually temperature controlled thus ensuring the ideal environment for the process and the analytical equipment used.

Each laboratory is subjected to frequent air changes to remove any contamination that may be airborne.

A monitored pressure regime is employed.

All features of the build have been designed to maximise the ability to clean the laboratories efficiently and effectively.
